Short-term high-grade fluorspar mining opportunity

At Monte Muambe, fluorspar occurs mostly along the circular contact between the carbonatite intrusion and its host rock.

In May 2026, NeoTerra published a JORC MRE of

, as well as a separate exploration target of

These resources back the Company's plans to develop a

50,000 tons per year acid grade fluorspar mine.

In addition, NeoTerra as recently identified the

presence of heavy rare earths enriched mineralisation

in direct association to the fluorspar ore. NeoTerra is currently assessing their recoverability as a by-product of fluorspar.

NeoTerra is presently carrying out advanced metallurgical studies to refine the process plant design and operation parameters. The Company is looking at a final investment decision in late 2026 or early 2027, and at starting mine construction in 2027.

The anticipated size and relative simplicity of this project lends itself to fast-tracking, with potential for commercial sales within 12 months of an investment decision.

Altona Rare Earths PLC is pleased to share an operational update on the scoping study for the short-term development of a fluorspar mine at Monte Muambe in Africa. Field activities have been completed, with a 300kg ore sample taken for testing and evaluation by potential buyers, with results expected in Q1 2025.

The study aims to produce 15,000 to 20,000 tons of fluorspar per year, with a simple beneficiation process expected to involve crushing and gravity concentration. The company sees the project as a fast-track opportunity with potential for commercial sales within 12 months of an investment decision.

CEO Cedric Simonet highlights the potential cash inflow from this project and how it aligns with the company's diversification strategy, alongside their other promising exploration assets. This represents an excellent opportunity for revenue generation for the Company.

Investors are welcome to ask any questions or seek clarification on this exciting development for Altona.
